Delusions of Grandeur - Brothers Brewing Co.

Born in the Trappist Abbeys of Belgium, Dubbels were brewed by monks and used as a source of nutrients during fasting. Eventually these brews were bottled and sold to support the abbey’s self-sufficiency and fund their works. 

This moderately strong and complex Belgian ale is chewy with rich malt, fresh dark fruit, and caramel flavours; most notably raisins, prunes, and dates. Balanced bitterness leaves a malty but dry finish. The yeast gives it a spicy profile with some balanced fruit.
